We’ve given away a fair share of 4x4s, and something that we love doing is adding on some extra goodies to help get them adventure-ready for the winner! Here are a few of our current favorite mods that we like to do:
Upgrade The Wheels – Whether on the road or heading off-road, having the perfect wheels is so important. Stock wheels do well in most cases; however, upgrading to wheels and tyres designed for your adventures will maximize your off-road performance. Depending on what you get, your wheels can increase the strength, appearance, and capabilities of your rig, allowing you to conquer more off-road terrains with ease and look good while doing it!
Suspension Upgrade – Suspension upgrades can change several things, such as your vehicle’s overall comfort, how much it can carry, and the lifespan of its mechanical components. Upgrading suspension allows for greater vehicle clearance—great for off-roading, prolonging the life of your tyres, better handling on the road, and the ability to carry and tow heavier loads with your car.
Additional Accessories – We love to add a snorkel! Snorkels are all about getting the cleanest and freshest air to your engine. They help boost vehicle performance and fuel economy when driving in heavy rain, water crossing, or dusty areas. Without a snorkel, the air collected for your engine is most likely full of dust, grease, and dirt – yuck! What’s a 4×4 without a bullbar? Bullbars are heavy-duty accessories that help protect against potential impacts with other cars, rocks, logs, and much more. They also provide a sturdy mount for recovery gear and winches and allow for additional accessories such as light bars to be mounted.
Adding a Caravan – It’s no secret we love our 4×4 & Caravans combos! This is great for those easy camp setups, just park up and enjoy! Caravans provide ample storage for clothes and equipment, as well as private facilities like a full kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, and take little to no set up time!
